the thing about coming off the road and returning from a whirlwind of cities, highways, venues and lodgings (is that a word) is that you dont really feel like it has ended at all initially. especially when you are wrapping up the tour accomodations (rental car returns, closing out the transportation budget, hounding your label for paperwork, etc…) and still adding to your schedule on the fly at times. although we are officially off the road** it just kinda feels like we got a brooklyn layover. but i aint complaning at all, being busy is mos def a good thing especially when you are workin on the world (brooklynati is due) by setting up shows, clothes and hoes***.
today we spent roughly 10 hours doing a photo shoot with photorob for what will become the brooklynati cover art. we got some great shots (as did a few of our sponsors) and overall im very satisfied with the way we visually played on the overall concept. man im tellin you without telling you, we are LITERALLY working on the world! i know im being cryptic, sorry about that but one day it’ll all make sense (c) common.
in other news i copped the above beauty through the wonders of craigslist on sunday for $50 bucks cus the guy was tryna get rid of it. i think its a dyno gt joint. not bad eh? the kryptonite chain/master padlock combo i got to secure it cost more than the friggin bike! the trade off is that its a pretty pricey bike so it desrves a good lock. i spent the sunday i got it riding around park slope like a kid who was allowed to finally go past the sidewalk. man im so damn excited about this damn bike, especially since i left my car in cincinnati with hopes of finally selling it****
i could tell you about the pillow i bought but thats not exciting at all is it?
