first and foremost i want to apologize to everyone who came out to the show at the knitting factory. due to circumstances beyond our control we were unable to perform and believe you me, i am STILL livid. dont think ill get over this one that easy folks, for several reasons. shit when i saw DJ Brina Payne rollin her crate away from the venue i knew something was wrong.
i dont wanna go into the whole story behind what happened but i will just say this, never fly on a buddy pass if you have somewhere to be. missing a show may seem like some insignificant shit (i mean it does happen) but honestly all you have in this game is your rep and if you are known as a no show well thats no good at all. shit the last tour we almost had to pull after the toronto date but after remembering the sting of pulling from the new royalty tour and the fact that we had so many shows lined up after that date we had to thug it out. im STILL feeling the burn from that one…
i would also like to apologize to anybody who saw at the venue and was short with or just didnt speak to at all. i was definitely not in the right frame of mind. imagine going to the airport monday at midnight only to be told to come back at 8 am. then you come back and you are told that its likely you wont be able to fly out of denver until wednesday. so you then (in an attempt to salvage the show you had booked that night) pay for a WHOLE new flight only to have THAT flight delayed due to air traffic. so you SCRAMBLE to get onto a new connecting flight (which is also being delayed) get out of the plane and break your fucking neck (and wallet) to get to the venue only to show up to people exiting and faulting you in jest for not making your own show. lump on the LAST entry i posted about how hard getting to denver was in the first place and you’ve got one pissed off guy. i mean i can dish and take jokes as well as the rest of em but that shit man… *smh* i’ll be all jolly again next time, i promise…
so with all that said: shout out to j-live for consoling me with his tales of travel gone wrong in germany (see you on saturday fam), shout out to deon and michelle for helping me calm down (i tried yall…), shout out to aeon (who i barely even got to say one word to, livid fam… fucking LIVID), shout out to the entire lessondary for rockin that shit (wish i was there), shout out to the 2 hungry bros for dj’ing (tell phototone to holler at me), shout out to sucio and peter at the knit for booking us (please dont let this experience keep you from doing so again), shout out to george and jon for actually leaving the house (mi breddas!), shout out to akilah and yvette for the constant support (it just aint a show without you guys, for real for real), shout out to tia for making the drive up and not rubbing it in (you are awesome and your sympathy is much appreciated) and shout out to anybody who i missed in the shout outs. the fact that i know and am naming this many people who stuck around until it was too late and i KNOW there were other ppl who broke out early cus they had to work or whatever speaks volumes…
lastly shout out to frontier fucking airlines for making traveling to and from denver a living and breathing hell. you sandwiched so much BULLSHIT between hosting an amazing party in denver that it kinda dulls the memory of it all. i do remember getting my haircut by one of the beauticians while simultaneously mc’ing the party with a beer in hand… and yes people it was as awesomely random as it sounds but it has all been washed away by the good people at frontier airlines. i hope you file chapter 11 soon. die you fucking piece of shit excuse for an airline. i feel sorry for your mother…
even tho i wish i was waking up from a REALLY fucked up dream right now im gonna try and go to bed and wake up with no recollection of any of today, one of the first days in a LONG time where anything that could go wrong did go wrong. i dont think i’ve had this many concurrent let downs on ALL fronts in a looong time. please dont give me anymore… please?!?! :(

When things go wrong, they go wrong in spades…..it is a testament to you coming from being a fan to being a performer that you took the time out to actually apologize to many of your fans and friends that weren’t able to see TM perform. Stuff like this is never forgotten and will have your fans continuing to support you, Von and iL for many years to come.
