im so much closer to a haircut now :)

tonight was good. not only did i record like 2-3 verses for the album but i worked out the kinks i had with 2-3 that i had already recorded. i dont wanna bore you with tech talk but the punches and intros on certain verses werent clicking, until tonight. there is still one HUGE thorn in my side. that thorn is just not true.

the tone of just not true (on my verse at least) calls for slight aggression. now the demo version has all the aggression in the WORLD and it sounds awesome. for some reason tho i cant get that ‘voice’ back. its just not coming. im trying. i tried two nights in a row and tonight i had a hot hand. like i literally fixed ALL my problems i had with verses. solving the lil glitches on the fly. it was surreal. i was floating. until i made it to jsut not true.

so i think i have a personal vendetta with this song now. its kinda annoying and ill probably end up changing the feel of the verse a bit to accomodate myself. actually none of the final takes are sounding like the demos so i dont know why im trying to make this one sound like the demo. i think im just so married to that damn demo. i thought id have a problem detaching from the feel of so damn down but nah, its just not true.
