Let’s talk about Laura’s Song

Buy the Laura’s Song Maxi – Single

That link is to my bandcamp page, its also where Suburban Sprawl lives feel free to buy something or just join my mailing list. I wont email you, I never do. So the topic of this post is Laura’s Song right? Lets talk about it. Lets talk about the video NOT being for sale on iTunes and how I cant get a straight answer regarding this because the guy who I get my answers from apparently cant get a straight answer. Sounds like the run around right? Lace ya shoes up folks.

I dont know  whats going on with the video being for sale to be honest but I will say that once its available for sale I will let everybody know. This has been kinda a logistical nightmare and had I known any of this would end up like this I woulda just did it from bandcamp off the muscle. BUT being all the way 100% the demand for Laura’s Song caught me with my pants down and it wasnt even mastered when I put the video up on youtube. Hell I had no idea people would even care enough about the video to send it into the viral blogosphere, guess the joke was on me. Especially being that I get recognized for it pretty regularly lol.

So in an effort to rekindle the flame on the video I commissioned a few remixes and rushed to get it all serviced to iTunes and other etailers. In all honesty tho I feel like this wasnt really ‘successful’ its not a failure, but definitely not what shoulda happened and there was no way to know what was going to happen but at the end of the day the song shoulda been for sale when the video went up.  Period. We were in the middle of working on the Brooklynati release and our ‘team’ (read: Dom) was stretched far beyond his means as he usually is. But the beauty in a lesson learned is the knowledge gained right? Right. Expect the next release to be orchestrated a bit better.

The moral to the story is: Did you buy the Laura’s Song Maxi Single? If not feel free to rectify that NOW!!
