A while back I took a roll of painters tape from my homeboy filthy. Call me strange but I was really enamored with that roll of tape and everything from its rich color to the texture to how easy it can be removed and applied just struck me. For that reason alone Aakash Nihalani is my new hero. He found a way to make my crush on a roll of tape into a full blown love affair. He has a show at the Carmichael Gallery in Hollywood right now and I’m pretty upset that I’m not around for it. Guess I’ll just have to settle for his relatively extensive portfolio based website.
