Webby Awards 2023

The Webby awards finally happened and I had a great time. Roy Wood Jr did a great job hosting but his voice was a bit blown out so Wyatt Cenac dropped in to present the awards in my category which was a really cool surprise.

I can’t figure out how to embed the video of me on stage giving my speech but trust me it happened and you can see it here for now. If you don’t want to click the link my speech was “Imagination is revolutionary. Stay whimsical.”

It was really hard to come up with something that I felt like was poignant yet succinct but I think i did a pretty good job. I got kinda obsessive and wrote a bunch of different ones but I think we landed on the right lines.

This is a photo of the moment that a man stopped me to interview me on the red carpet. I was so excited to talk to him and then he mistakenly called me DJ Jazzy Jeff which threw me for such a huge loop i forgot what his question was and freestyled some random answer.

And here is a photo of my outfit which i think came together pretty nicely! Shout out to my stylist, me. lol
